VIRGINIA — A body was recovered from the Elizabeth River on Monday morning after a fisherman spotted it floating near the Campostella Bridge, according to Norfolk police.
Police said crews from the Norfolk Police Department and Norfolk Fire-Rescue responded to a water rescue call around 9:45 a.m. after the fisherman reported seeing a body in the water.
Authorities said the man was brought to shore and pronounced dead at 10:21 a.m.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
