MISSISSIPPI — An 82-year-old woman has been charged in the shooting death of her 75-year-old boyfriend in Tunica County.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded Tuesday to a residence on Tibbs Road after Mattie Crockett called 911 and said she had shot her boyfriend. The victim, James Larry Jr. of Sledge, Mississippi, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crockett was treated at a local hospital before being taken into custody and transported to the Tunica County Jail. She was charged with murder and appeared before a judge Wednesday. She is being held on a $100,000 bond.
