MISSISSIPPI — A Mississippi home directly across the street from a daycare was reportedly used to sell drugs and alcoholic slushies, according to the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

After a weeks-long investigation, deputies arrested Tiohnnie Marshal, Courtney Marshall, and Maurice Smith on Tuesday.

CCSO said investigators observed drugs being sold from the Marshalls’ home on Martin Luther King Boulevard, a location frequently visited by children. In addition to drugs, authorities said “alcohol-infused slushies” were sold from the residence, along with candy and other drinks.

When deputies executed a search of the home, they seized a digital scale, at least one pound of marijuana, a slushie machine, and a variety of candy. A gun and what appeared to be a bottle of cough syrup were also documented in a photo released by the sheriff’s office.

Investigators said a child was present in the home during the search and was safely released to a family member.
