MISSISSIPPI — A woman was injured in a shooting in Jackson on Thursday evening, and police are searching for the suspect.
Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to reports of a possible shooting near Presto Lane and State Street. When they arrived, they found a female victim who had been shot in the leg. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening, and she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
JPD Precinct Three Captain Jacquelyn Thomas said the suspect remains unknown and at large. The investigation is active and ongoing.
