INDIANA — A Knox County man was arrested early Saturday morning after deputies say he was driving a stolen vehicle containing multiple drugs and firearms.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a 2005 Ford F-250 around 1:17 a.m. on October 25. The truck had been reported stolen out of Sullivan County.

Deputies detained the driver, a 24-year-old man from Oaktown, and found a firearm on him during the stop. A K-9 officer named Figo was called to the scene and alerted deputies to possible contraband inside the vehicle, prompting a search.

During the search, investigators reportedly found fentanyl pills, Alprazolam (Xanax), Acetaminophen, hydrochloride pills, cocaine, methamphetamine, and another firearm.

The suspect was arrested on several preliminary felony charges, including possession and dealing of methamphetamine, possession of a narcotic drug, unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession and dealing of a legend drug, and identity deception. He also faces a misdemeanor charge for driving while suspended with a prior offense.
