SOUTH CAROLINA — Two men have been arrested following a months-long investigation into cocaine sales and distribution in the Hilton Head Island and Bluffton areas, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Working with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), investigators arrested 41-year-old Xavier Alexander Rosa-Cabrera and 38-year-old Rey-Agustin Zamora-Perez.
Both are charged with the sale and distribution of cocaine as well as trafficking cocaine.
Authorities said undercover agents made contact with the suspects and conducted an undercover purchase of the drug.
After the arrests, officers executed search warrants at the suspects’ home on Hilton Head Island, where they seized about four kilograms of cocaine and more than $25,000 in cash.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said it remains committed to targeting and disrupting illegal drug activity throughout the community.
