MISSISSIPPI — A deadly multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 22 in New Albany left two people dead Wednesday night.
Fire Chief Mark Whiteside said the crash occurred on westbound I-22 past the Highway 30 interchange and caused significant traffic delays.
Union County Coroner Pam Boman confirmed that two people were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 24-year-old Gaven O’Conner of Etta and 51-year-old Susan Bain of Myrtle.
The New Albany Police Department is expected to release additional details on Thursday.
