
MISSISSIPPI — A man is arrested after deputies recover multiple stolen vehicles, firearms, and chainsaws during a search in Rankin County.
On October 13, 2025, deputies responded to an area near Shell Oil Road regarding a possible stolen vehicle.
They located a stolen white Ford F-250 reported missing in August 2025 at a nearby residence. Investigators make contact with 35-year-old Steve Frederick Nieburg, who is detained after being found in possession of marijuana.
A search warrant leads deputies to additional stolen vehicles with altered Vehicle Identification Numbers, including a Toyota Tacoma reported stolen in July 2025, a 2017 Toyota Camry reported stolen in 2022, and a disassembled 1992 Toyota Tacoma. Authorities also recover a stolen 2019 car hauler trailer.
Investigators report finding multiple stolen Stihl chainsaws taken from a power line company in Alabama, along with firearms believed to be stolen during a burglary in the City of Pearl.
Nieburg faces charges including four counts of receiving/possession of stolen property, three counts of violation of Mississippi Chop Shop and Stolen, Altered Property Act, possession of methamphetamine with a firearm, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
