KENTUCKY — Shelby County High School was placed on a brief lockdown Thursday morning following a bomb threat, authorities said.

Capt. James Lisby of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that officers responded to a report of a potential bomb on the school campus.

Kentucky State Police K9 units searched the building but found no suspicious items.

The lockdown was lifted shortly after 1 p.m., and the investigation into the threat is ongoing.
