MISSISSIPPI — One person was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 57 near Bunker Hill Road, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash involved an 18-wheeler dump truck and a passenger vehicle. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
As of 8:30 a.m., Highway 57 remained closed to traffic. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
