SOUTH CAROLINA — A person is dead following a shooting early Sunday morning at the Cross Creek Apartments, according to the Beaufort Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the complex around 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a victim who had been shot.
Police said officers provided aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital, where they later died.
The incident remains under active investigation.
