OHIO — One juvenile is in custody after a multi-county police chase involving a stolen pickup truck ended early Tuesday on Interstate 75 near the Best Buy in Miamisburg.
According to authorities, Clearcreek Township police initially responded to reports of a group of juveniles breaking into vehicles early Tuesday morning.
Franklin Police later located the suspect vehicle, a stolen Ford F-150, and initiated a pursuit.
The chase came to an end when the Ford struck a curb near the Interstate 75 and state Route 725 interchange in Miamisburg, flattening the front driver’s-side tire.
Police said both juvenile occupants got out of the truck and fled on foot. One juvenile ran into a wooded area and was taken into custody. A second male juvenile was not located.
Authorities said the stolen Ford F-150 will be processed for evidence before being returned to its owners.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, while the vehicle theft investigation remains ongoing.
