
OHIO — A motorcyclist died Thursday after a crash involving a three-wheeled motorcycle and an SUV in a parking lot on Columbus’ South Side, according to police.
The crash happened at about 2:17 p.m. June 25 in the parking lot behind Gyro City Grill on South High Street.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, a Can-Am Ryker three-wheeled motorcycle was traveling west through the parking lot when it was struck from behind by a Cadillac SRX that was traveling south.
The impact caused the rider to lose control and be thrown from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken by medics to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in stable condition but later died at 6:15 p.m., police said.
The Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
Authorities have not released the identity of the motorcyclist or said whether the driver of the Cadillac could face any charges.
