
NORTH CAROLINA — A person was killed in a shooting in a north Charlotte neighborhood early Monday morning, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The shooting was reported shortly after 1 a.m. on Holly Street, near Beatties Ford Road and Interstate 85.
When officers arrived, they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim died before they could be transported to a hospital, police said.
Investigators described the shooting as an isolated incident and said they are not currently searching for any suspects.
Authorities have not released information about what led to the shooting, and the victim’s identity has not been made public.
The investigation remains ongoing.
