
FLORIDA — A man wanted on felony drug charges in Marion County was arrested Wednesday in Lady Lake following a joint operation involving the U.S. Marshals Service and the Lady Lake Police Department.
According to authorities, 20-year-old William Lamont Knights was wanted on an active Marion County warrant for fentanyl possession and the sale of fentanyl.
The U.S. Marshals Service located Knights at a residence on East Primrose Lane and took him into custody. Lady Lake police officers responded to assist with the arrest, using a department drone as part of the operation.
Officials said Knights was detained without incident and transported to the Lake County Jail.
The arrest was the result of a coordinated effort between federal and local law enforcement agencies. No additional information about the underlying charges was immediately released.
