SOUTH CAROLINA — An Anderson woman is facing a drug trafficking charge after deputies reportedly found more than 50 grams of methamphetamine inside her vehicle during a patrol earlier this month.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were patrolling George Albert Lake Road on June 6 when they discovered a vehicle with an incorrect license plate illegally parked in a handicapped parking space.
Deputies said they made contact with the driver, who appeared extremely nervous. Authorities said consent was given to search the vehicle.
With assistance from K-9 Doc, deputies searched the vehicle and found approximately 56 grams of methamphetamine, according to the sheriff’s office.
The driver, identified as 45-year-old Aleisha Arflin, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
Arflin is being held at the Anderson County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation.
