ALABAMA — Authorities are searching for a missing Tennessee man who was last seen near the water in Lauderdale County on Thursday.
According to the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence on Waters Edge Drive off County Road 94 after receiving a report of a missing person.
The missing man has been identified as Marcus DeWeese, 48, of Kingston Springs, Tennessee.
Sheriff’s officials said deputies, along with the Florence Dive Team and Killen Fire & Rescue, are searching the water and surrounding areas in an effort to locate DeWeese.
DeWeese is described as a white male standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 250 pounds. He has dark hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a gray shirt and khaki shorts.
Anyone who has seen DeWeese or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office at 256-760-5769.
The search remains ongoing.
