OHIO — Drug task force agents seized more than 30 grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl after executing a search warrant at a Hamilton residence on Wednesday morning.
According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force (B.U.R.N.) served a search warrant around 8:45 a.m. at a home in the 2100 block of Pater Avenue.
During the search, investigators recovered approximately 15 grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of fentanyl, $1,600 in cash, and a firearm.
Authorities arrested Andrew Bowman, 34, of Hamilton. He was charged with possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Officials said additional charges could be presented to a Butler County grand jury.
The sheriff’s office said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to target individuals involved in the trafficking and possession of illegal narcotics and firearms.
“You bring that poison into Butler County and illegally possess a gun, you can make your own decisions, but you don’t get to choose the consequences,” Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
