
NORTH CAROLINA — A pedestrian has died after being struck by a minivan in Greensboro, according to the Greensboro Police Department.
Officers responded to a collision on South Elm-Eugene Street between East Meadowview Road and West Carteret Road on the evening of June 6. Investigators said a minivan was traveling on South Elm-Eugene Street when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the victim later died from their injuries on June 7.
According to investigators, neither impairment nor excessive speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
The collision remains under investigation.
