OHIO — Three people were injured after strong thunderstorm winds caused a tree to fall onto a vehicle in Logan County over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of County Road 5 and Township Road 191 in Liberty Township.
Officials said thunderstorm winds knocked over a tree, which then fell onto a car occupied by three people. Emergency responders were called to the scene and safely removed all three occupants from the vehicle.
The National Weather Service reported that the occupants suffered minor injuries. No fatalities were reported.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
Officials said the tree was brought down by strong winds associated with thunderstorms moving through the area at the time of the incident.
