
INDIANA — Police are searching for suspects after a man was fatally shot during an apparent robbery outside a laundromat on Indianapolis’ east side early Tuesday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called just after 1 a.m. to the Laundry & Tan Connection on North Mitthoefer Road following reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators said the shooting appears to have stemmed from a robbery in the parking lot. Police believe multiple people may have approached the victim, which led to an altercation before the shooting occurred.
No arrests had been announced as of Tuesday morning.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working to identify those involved.
