
OHIO — More than 3,000 homes and businesses across Ohio are currently without electricity Tuesday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 3,025 customers are without power statewide out of more than 5.47 million customers tracked. Ohio currently ranks sixth in the nation for the total number of outages.
Cuyahoga County reports the highest number of outages in the state, with 1,446 customers currently without service. Athens County follows with 488 outages, while Washington County reports 326. Franklin County has 217 customers without power, and both Licking and Morgan counties report 61 outages.
By percentage of customers affected, Athens County is among the hardest-hit areas, with 1.70% of tracked customers without electricity. Washington County reports 0.99% of customers affected.
Among utility providers, Cleveland Public Power reports the largest number of outages, with 1,370 customers currently without service. American Electric Power Ohio reports 1,320 outages, while FirstEnergy has 200 customers without power. AES Ohio reports 41 outages, and Duke Energy has 36.
Statewide, about 0.06% of tracked electric customers are currently affected by outages.
Utility crews continue working to restore service across impacted areas. Residents are encouraged to report outages directly to their electric provider and avoid any downed power lines.
The outages are current as of Tuesday morning, and restoration efforts remain ongoing.
