
PENNSYLVANIA — More than 6,400 homes and businesses across Pennsylvania are currently without electricity Tuesday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 6,409 customers are without power statewide out of nearly 6.77 million customers tracked. Pennsylvania currently ranks fourth in the nation for the total number of outages and sixth for the percentage of customers affected.
Washington County reports the highest number of outages in the state, with 2,013 customers currently without service. Fayette County follows with 1,631 outages, while Westmoreland County reports 486. Cambria County has 312 customers without power, and Allegheny County reports 286 outages. Additional outages are reported in Philadelphia County, Erie County and Jefferson County.
Fayette County currently has the highest outage percentage in the state, with 2.29% of tracked customers affected, while Washington County has 1.83% of customers without electricity.
Among utility providers, FirstEnergy reports the largest number of outages, with 5,240 customers currently without service. PECO Energy Company reports 613 outages, Duquesne Light Company has 285, and PPL Electric Utilities reports 254.
Utility crews continue working to restore service across affected areas. Residents are encouraged to report outages directly to their electric provider and stay clear of any downed power lines.
Outages remain current and restoration efforts are ongoing Tuesday morning.
