
TEXAS — More than 14,000 homes and businesses across Texas are currently without electricity Sunday morning, according to the latest outage data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, 14,671 customers statewide are without power, representing about 0.1% of the more than 15.4 million customers tracked across Texas.
Texas currently has the fifth-highest number of power outages in the United States.
Dallas County is reporting the largest number of outages in the state, with 4,632 customers currently without electricity. Tarrant County follows with 3,128 outages, while Denton County is reporting 1,422. Other counties with significant outages include Ellis County with 717 customers without power, Wichita County with 638, Johnson County with 615, Upshur County with 474 and Collin County with 304.
Among utility providers, Oncor is reporting the largest number of outages, with 11,934 customers currently without service. Upshur Rural Electric Cooperative is reporting 518 outages, while Entergy has 382 customers without power. American Electric Power Texas reports 249 outages, and CenterPoint Energy has 205.
Utility crews continue working to restore service in affected areas across the state. Outage numbers remain current and are expected to change throughout the day as repairs are completed and additional outages are reported.
