Part of I-20 in Mississippi shut down due to semi-truck crash

MISSISSIPPI — A crash involving two tractor-trailers has closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 in Warren County Saturday afternoon, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred near the 17-mile marker on I-20 westbound.

Troopers said the collision involved two 18-wheelers. No injuries were reported, and both drivers were unharmed.

I-20 westbound remains closed as emergency crews work to clear the crash scene and reopen the interstate.

Motorists are being advised to seek alternate routes, expect delays and use caution while traveling through the area.

The cause of the crash has not been released.
