Five people injured following vehicle crash in Maryland

MARYLAND — Five people, including three teenagers, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash near the Capital Beltway in Bethesda on Thursday night, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service officials.

The crash occurred around 9:27 p.m. at the intersection of River Road and Burdette Road near Interstate 495.

Authorities said three vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the vehicles overturned during the crash and had three teenagers inside.

Officials said the teens, along with two adults who were in the other vehicles, were able to get out of the wreckage before first responders arrived.

All five victims were transported to area hospitals with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service and the Montgomery County Police Department responded to the scene and investigated the crash.

No additional information about the cause of the collision has been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
