
TEXAS — A 38-year-old woman died after being ejected from a vehicle during a rollover crash early Thursday morning in Corpus Christi, according to police.
The crash occurred around 2:37 a.m. on the flyover ramp connecting westbound South Padre Island Drive (State Highway 358) to northbound Crosstown Expressway (State Highway 286).
According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, a vehicle struck a concrete barrier and rolled over on the ramp. During the crash, a 38-year-old female passenger was thrown from the vehicle.
The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Police have not released the victim’s identity.
As of Thursday morning, the driver had not been cited or charged in connection with the crash. However, investigators said that could change as the investigation continues.
The Corpus Christi Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, and an official crash report has not yet been completed.
