Three people arrested following drug bust near school in Texas

TEXAS — Three people were arrested after investigators discovered drugs while executing a search warrant at a home in Ingleside, according to the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said members of its Criminal Investigation Division, Tactical Response Team and the Ingleside Police Department carried out the search Wednesday at a residence on Houston Street. Authorities noted the home is located within a school zone.

During the search, investigators said they found illegal drugs inside the residence. As a result, three people who were inside the home were taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The suspects were identified as Allen Ray Spriggs, 64, Carrie Elrod, 67, and Justice Iris Gonzalez, 28.

All three remain incarcerated at the San Patricio County Jail.

Authorities have not released additional details about the type or quantity of drugs recovered. The investigation remains ongoing.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
