LOUISIANA — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday evening after a shooting in the Howell Park neighborhood, according to Baton Rouge police.
The victims were taken to Baton Rouge General Hospital around 6:30 p.m. with gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening.
Police said the shooting occurred around 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of Lambert Drive and Clinton Avenue.
No additional details about the victims or a possible suspect were immediately released. Authorities have not said what led to the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
