One person injured following shooting incident in Georgia

GEORGIA — A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Panthersville early Thursday morning, according to DeKalb County police.

Officers were called around 5:15 a.m. to the 2600 block of Rainbow Way, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police said he is expected to recover from his injuries.

According to investigators, the victim told officers he and another person were in a parking lot when someone opened fire on them. The second person was not injured.

No suspects are in custody, and the motive for the shooting has not been released.
