
OHIO — A 20-year-old man was killed in a crash on Interstate 71 in north Columbus early Thursday morning.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, the crash happened around 2:10 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-71 north of Morse Road.
Investigators said Ashton Krick, 20, was driving a Honda Accord when, for reasons that remain unknown, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pedestrian walkway.
Krick was pronounced dead at 2:21 a.m. Police said he was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The northbound lanes of I-71 were closed for several hours following the crash but reopened shortly after 6 a.m.
