OHIO — A 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting in west Toledo on Tuesday night, according to police.
Officers responded to a reported shooting near Secor Road and McGregor Lane at approximately 9:15 p.m. The victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
A Toledo police sergeant at the scene said there are currently no suspects in custody. Police believe the shooting was targeted and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Investigators said people inside one vehicle fired shots at another vehicle, striking the victim. At least 10 evidence markers were visible at the scene as officers processed the area.
Additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately available.
