
VIRGINIA — A 52-year-old man died after a wrong-way crash in Chantilly on Tuesday morning, according to Fairfax County Police.
Officers were called to the 4300 block of Pleasant Valley Road shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for a reported crash.
Police said a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling southbound when it crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with a 2001 Ford F-450 truck.
The driver of the Honda, identified as Daniel Tsequi Mehari of Chantilly, was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Ford truck was also transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said they do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
