MARYLAND — Two men were arrested after a traffic stop in Severn led to the discovery of a loaded shotgun, suspected drugs and cash, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The traffic stop occurred at approximately 4:35 p.m. on May 30 in the area of Annapolis Road and Disney Road.
Police said officers conducted a search of the vehicle based on probable cause. During the search, authorities recovered a loaded Mossberg 590 shotgun, additional shotgun shells, various suspected illegal drugs and approximately $1,500 in cash.
According to police, the suspected drugs included MDMA, cocaine, Alprazolam, Adderall and fentanyl.
Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.
Police identified the suspects as Brian Anthony Cobb, 33, of Severn, and Stephen Anthony McCoy, 61, of Mount Airy.
Additional information regarding charges was not immediately released. The investigation remains ongoing.
