PENNSYLVANIA — A Washington County man was killed and a passenger was injured in a rollover crash Sunday night in Peters Township, according to the Washington County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities identified the victim as 37-year-old Alexander Lauterbach of Hickory.
The coroner said Lauterbach was driving north on Washington Road just before 8:30 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled over and came to rest in the parking lot of the Waterdam Centre shopping plaza.
Lauterbach was transported to a hospital, where he died at 9:20 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.
A passenger in the vehicle was also taken to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not immediately release information on the passenger’s condition.
Peters Township police responded to the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
