
TEXAS — Thousands of homes and businesses across Texas are currently without electricity Monday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, 4,212 customers statewide are without power. The outages affect approximately 0.03% of the more than 15.4 million customers tracked across Texas.
Harris County is reporting the largest number of outages in the state, with 1,584 customers currently without electricity. Gaines County follows with 862 outages, while Denton County has 261 customers without power. Additional outages are reported in Brown County with 201 customers affected and Dallas County with 143.
Among utility providers, CenterPoint Energy is reporting the highest number of outages, with 1,756 customers without service. Xcel Energy has 963 customers affected, while Oncor reports 503 outages and Texas New Mexico Power reports 273.
PowerOutage.us reports Texas currently has the fifth-highest number of power outages in the nation. Harris County has the most customers without power statewide, while Gaines County is among the hardest-hit areas based on the percentage of customers affected.
Utility crews are continuing restoration efforts across Texas as outage numbers change throughout the morning.
