ILLINOIS — One person was killed and another was injured in a crash involving a car and a truck Sunday evening in Rock Island County, according to the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 134th Avenue West and 105th Street West near Taylor Ridge, an intersection commonly known as Crawford’s Corner.
Authorities said a car was struck by a truck at the intersection. The driver of the car died at the scene.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Officials have not released the identities or ages of the people involved.
No additional details about the circumstances leading up to the crash were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office.
