NORTH CAROLINA — A death investigation is underway in Scotland County, according to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office.
Captain Randy Dover said the investigation is taking place along the 21000 block of McLaughlin Road.
Authorities said the location remains an active crime scene, and drivers are being asked to avoid the area while investigators work.
Few details have been released about the incident, and officials have not identified the deceased person or disclosed the circumstances surrounding the investigation.
