
NORTH CAROLINA — A Jacksonville woman is facing charges after police say an argument between customers at an Ollie’s Bargain Outlet escalated into a stabbing Saturday morning.
According to the Jacksonville Police Department, officers were called to the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet at 1126 Henderson Drive around 10:42 a.m. after receiving reports of a person with a weapon.
Investigators said an altercation broke out between customers inside the store. During the confrontation, police allege that 54-year-old Stacey Nicole Sanders pulled out a handgun. Authorities said another person involved in the incident was able to take the firearm away from Sanders, who then left the store for a short period of time.
Police said Sanders later returned armed with a knife and allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old woman in the chest.
Sanders was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed handgun.
Authorities said she was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
The incident remains under investigation.
