MINNEOSTA — A 29-year-old man died Saturday following a drowning incident at the swimming area of Little Emily Lake Park, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the man was swimming at the park with family and friends when the incident occurred. First responders arrived and provided medical aid, but the man later died from his injuries.
Officials have not released the man’s identity and have not said what circumstances led to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
In a statement, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to those affected by the tragedy.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” the sheriff’s office said.
