OHIO — A 19-year-old woman died and two other people were injured following a three-vehicle crash in Marion County on Friday evening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers were called to the crash on state Route 309 in Claridon Township shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Investigators said Eva Moran was driving a Hyundai Elantra eastbound on Route 309 when the vehicle struck the rear of a GMC Acadia that was stopped and waiting to make a left turn. The Hyundai then crossed left of center into the westbound lane, where it was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Authorities said Moran was ejected from the Hyundai during the crash. The Jeep subsequently traveled off the side of the roadway.
Moran was taken to Marion General Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The drivers of the GMC Acadia and Jeep Grand Cherokee were treated for minor injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
