KENTUCKY — A scooter rider suffered serious injuries after being hit and reportedly dragged by a vehicle in Breathitt County, according to authorities.
Officers responded to a call around 9:35 p.m. regarding an accident on Kentucky Route 15. When they arrived, they spoke with the driver involved in the crash.
According to police, the driver told investigators he did not see the scooter rider before striking him.
The victim was seriously injured and was transported to UK Hospital for treatment.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing, and it has not yet been determined whether charges will be filed against the driver.
