TEXAS — One person is dead following an early Thursday morning single-vehicle crash in Odessa, according to police.
The Odessa Police Department and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the area of East Loop 338 and John Ben Sheppard Parkway just before 3 a.m. Thursday for reports of a crash.
Investigators said a white Ford F-250 was traveling south on East Loop 338 when the driver left the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed into a traffic light pole.
Police said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released the identity of the driver because next of kin had not yet been notified.
The crash remains under investigation.
