TENNESSEE — Several Tennessee public school districts are wrapping up the 2025-26 school year this week, with official calendars showing final student days on May 28 or May 29.
Murfreesboro City Schools lists Thursday, May 28, 2026 as the “Last ½ Day for Students and 10 Month Employees” on the district calendar.
Putnam County School District’s approved 2025-26 academic calendar lists Friday, May 29, 2026 as “½ Day – Early Release – Last Day of School.” The calendar also shows an early-release day scheduled for May 28.
The calendars mean students in those Tennessee districts will begin summer break by the end of the week, while teachers and staff continue with post-planning duties, records work and graduation activities after classes conclude.
