NORTH CAROLINA — A Jacksonville man is facing multiple charges after police say he assaulted and strangled his girlfriend earlier this week.
23-year-old Korey Scott was arrested Wednesday by the Jacksonville Police Department following an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred Tuesday.
Warrants state Scott strangled his girlfriend, making it difficult for her to breathe. Court documents also say the victim suffered bruising along her neck as a result of the assault.
Scott has been charged with felony assault by strangulation, assault on a female, and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
He was booked into the Onslow County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
