OHIO — Police in Shaker Heights are searching for a 69-year-old man with dementia who left his nursing home Tuesday evening.
According to the Shaker Heights Police Department, a missing adult alert was issued Wednesday morning for Michael Garrett.
Police said Garrett left a nursing home facility on Northfield Road around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
He was last seen wearing a hospital gown and possibly a suit jacket.
Authorities said Garrett has dementia, anxiety and mood swings.
Garrett is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The alert was issued for multiple Northeast Ohio counties, including Cuyahoga, Summit, Medina, Stark, Portage and Lake counties, among others.
Anyone who sees Garrett is asked to call 911 or the Shaker Heights Police Department at 216-658-8051.
