MICHIGAN — A 37-year-old Ludington man was found dead Tuesday after a motorcycle crash in Mason County that investigators believe may have happened hours earlier.
According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were called around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to the area of Stiles and Marrison roads in Riverton Township for a reported motorcycle crash.
First responders found the motorcyclist dead at the scene, authorities said.
Investigators identified the victim as Richard Stepka of Ludington.
The sheriff’s office said investigators believe the crash likely occurred sometime overnight but was not discovered until Tuesday afternoon.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team.
