
OKLAHOMA — Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a crash that shut down part of U.S. Highway 77 in Murray County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash happened near River Bottom Road between Wynnewood and Davis. Troopers said all lanes of U.S. 77 were closed around 10:45 a.m. as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Investigators said a white SUV crashed into the driver’s side of a blue Hyundai, sending the Hyundai into a ditch.
According to OHP, the driver and passenger inside the Hyundai were both killed in the crash.
Authorities said the highway remained closed for about three hours while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
The identities of the victims have not been released, and the crash remains under investigation.
