
ARKANSAS — A missing Arkansas man was found dead Saturday morning during a search operation in Howard County, authorities said.
Howard County officials said 44-year-old Joshua Hagood had not been seen since Wednesday, May 20, before search crews located his body.
Authorities said a 5-month-old black French bulldog puppy was found alive beside Hagood’s body.
Officials have not released details about where Hagood was found or the circumstances surrounding his death.
Hagood’s body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, where investigators will determine the cause and manner of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
