INDIANA — A 41-year-old man is recovering after a motorcycle crash Monday night in Madison County, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. May 25 near the 3000 block of State Road 38 in Pendleton, close to a roundabout near Interstate 69.
Investigators said the man was riding a 1981 Honda motorcycle eastbound on State Road 38 when he struck the roundabout and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Deputies said the man was unconscious at the scene and was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Authorities said he is now in stable condition.
The sheriff’s department said the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor, but toxicology results were still pending Tuesday morning.
